Private Medical Letters and Examinations

Leylands Medical Centre can provide doctors’ letters and undertake certain private medical examinations (for example, fostering, HGV, or taxi medicals) in some cases. These services are not funded by the NHS, and charges therefore apply.

To request a letter or a medical examination, please submit an online request HERE. Include as much information as possible and attach any forms that require completion.

Our doctors can only complete reports and medicals based on factual information contained within your medical record. They are unable to provide subjective opinions or comment on matters outside their medical knowledge.

Once your request has been submitted, our team will contact you to explain the next steps and arrange payment. No work will be undertaken until payment has been made in full.

Letters and medicals are normally completed within 6–8 weeks from the date payment is received.

As these services are not funded by the NHS, Leylands Medical Centre is not obliged to complete them and may decline requests where appropriate.
